Alleles Frequency and Polymorphic Genes Genotypes Associated with Alcoholism in Kazakh Population

چکیده

Background: There is a category of people with congenial predisposition to alcohol abuse among the total population. The identification such persons by molecular genetic diagnostics and implementation appropriate preventive measures can significantly reduce incidence alcoholism. Objectives: This research aimed study foundations dependence development in Kazakhs based on analysis population frequencies polymorphic variants alcoholism genes. Materials Methods: material for was DNA recovered from peripheral blood recruited control group population, which represented 1,800 conditionally healthy individuals Kazakh nationality. Isolated samples were genotyped PCR. data calculated analyzed using HWEtest function PLINK software. Conclusions: take an intermediate position between previously studied European Asian populations allele nine ADH1B (rs2066701, rs1789891), ADH1C (rs1693425, rs698), HTR2C (rs6318), ALDH2 (rs671), CADM2 (rs9841829), KLB (rs11940694), DRD2 (rs1076560) Possible markers increased risk are G alleles loci rs2066701 gene rs671 gene, protective effect possible presence A gene.

Are polymorphisms in MTRR A66G and MTHFR C677T genes associated with congenital heart diseases in Iranian population?

Background: The 5, 10-methyleneterahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) and methionine synthase reductase (MTRR) are two essential enzymes involved in folate metabolism. The relationship between genetic polymorphisms and congenital heart defects (CHDs) is inconsistent. Our aim was to investigate the association between two well-known polymorphisms of MTHFR and MTRR genes, C677T and A66G, respectively,...

Frequency of selected virulence-associated genes in intestinal and extra-intestinal Escherichia coli isolates from chicken

Background: Although Escherichia coli (E. coli)is a part of intestinal normal microflora of warm-blooded animals, includingpoultry, outbreaks occur in poultry raised below standard sanitation and duringthe course of respiratory or immunosuppressive diseases. Avian pathogenic E.coli (APEC) harbors several genes associated with virulence andpathogenicity. APEC strains are responsible for some dis...
